Chaoyang Tower


Chaoyang Tower is the east gate tower (The yinhui Gate) of Old Jianshui city. It was built in 1389. The three-story tower is composed of 48 hug wooden pillars and numerous cross-beams, covered with triple roofs. It has an area of 414 square meters and 24.5mters in height. Because of the similar architectural style with Tiananmen of Beijing. Thus got the reputation of "the Miniature Tiananmen". Today, the Chaoyang Tower has become the landmark of Jianshui.
