Nixi Pottery Village is a small Tibetan village nestling along the popular adventure route from Deqin to Zhongdian. It’s a tiny village standing by green grassland on which flocks of yaks, sheep and horses graze gives a sense of timeless tranquility. More than natural beauty around village, what attracts people is the traditional handicrafts local people make. Nixi Village is well known for their century-old art, making pottery, totally around 70% families in the village are engaged in this traditional business, many of them have built own family pottery workshops. It’s amazing to watch the locals processing the pottery items, purely hand work makes their products unique and precious.
