Located in West of Zhaoyang District,Dashanbao Grusnigricollis Natural Reserve is home to black-necked crane, a kind of crane nearly extinct. In Asia it breeds on the Tibetan Plateau and remote parts of India and Bhutan, and in mid of 20 century, many black-necked crane change the residence to Zhaotong for it’s mild climate and abundant wetland.
