Yunfeng Mountain


Yunfeng Mountain lies in the 50km northwest of the Tengchong. Yunfeng Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain. It got name from the clouds surrounding its waist.The main peak of mountain is 2,450 meters above sea level. Yunfeng Temple is located in the summit of the mountain,  built in the 7th year of Chongzhen of the Ming dynasty (1632AD). Yunfeng temple offers sacrifices for Taoists and Buddhists, of which there are many in west Yunnan and Southeast Asia. It enjoys great popularity in the western part of Yunnan and the north of Myanmar. Pilgrims from home and abroad often go there to make a pilgrimage.
