Stay in Yuanyang

The Yunnan trip was actually happened in the very late of 2017. It was a long stay in Yunnan, I recorded my blog into 3 parts. This one is about basically the very first 4 days to Yuanyang and around. The itinerary is basically by this.

In the morning, the guide took us to Green Lake park. The park is called Green Lake park, it’s very popular for the locals as well as tourists. In the morning, they are more likely to get together and dance in the park, known as “Square dance” in China, and I just saw it in our February visit.

Our next stop is Yuanyang Rice terrace, located in south of Yunnan. It’s like we took 6 hours drive there with our guide. The drive way in narrow roads are pretty scary sometime but also much fun.  In a typical restaurant, we selected a variety local dishes with fresh vegetables and Hani Ham meat. This region is known for their rice. Obviously, the rice was produced in the terrace filed. We will see soon, waiting for it.

At night, we stayed in a village called Duoyishu village. My wife and I are obsessed in local life wherever we travel. And we’ve been hang out separately in the village. We come across a girl   pasturing cattle, really cute. Turns out to support the family and make money to make a living. It may represents the real rural life, which may not be seen in cities. Life is hard, after all.

We noticed even in this remote villages, with minorities, they still have there own unique language.Honesty, the rice terrace is the only reason we choose Yuanyang in our Yunnan trip. But reflecting until now, we experienced a real countryside of China. People there are mostly in poverty, but leading a happy and simple life.
Then we hatch up to another village called Tiger mouth village, known as the spectacular sunset seeing of the terraces. Having already gone there 2 hours in advance, all the best photographers spot taking by tourists. They were waiting there since morning, trying to get a good angle to capture the beautiful sunset pictures in terraces.
