Day 5 Guiyang -Kaili -Rongjiang (B/L/-)
After breakfast, transfer to Kaili (3-3.5hrs) , visit Langde Long Skirt Miao village the village has three village gates. Houses supported by wooden pillars with a suspension roof and twisted corridors are built on the mountain slope. Most wooden buildings were built from 1616-1911,Five streets lead to the village. Two public recreation centers---Flute Center with the ground paved with cobbler, a small cultural museum of the Miaos and the former residence of an insurrectionary general of the Qing Dynasty were built in the village.
Afterward, further the driving to Rongjiang county (3.5hrs ) On the way, stop to visit Datang Short-skirt Miao Village stands out from other Miao villages in the region because of the distinctive style of dress worn by Miao females in the village. All the females in Datang Miao Village wear extremely short skirts, as short as 10 centimeters long (make that "short"!) in some instances. The most amazing thing about this is that the females of Datang Miao Village wear this extremely short skirt all year round, even in freezing winter.
And Qiaotu Shui Village Shui is one of the 55 minority groups in China, with a population of 300,000. They migrated into Guizhou from the lower reaches or Yangtze River many years ago. Different from some other minority groups, Shui people have their own written language. Shui means water in Chinese. Shui culture is similar to Dong's, it is also water culture, or river culture. Shui people often live on both sides of the rivers or streams. Special things in Shui Region: Batik, horse hair embroidery(baby carriers)
